4 LEVELS OF INSTRUCTION, 1 FAMEILY
Recreational - for beginners with 0-2 years of experience, or just for fun
Performance - transitional level with local opportunities to perform
Apprentice - add-on classes for students in the Recreational, Performance, or Company Jr/Inter (grade 4-6) programs who wish to train for roles in Company shows
Company -
for the dancer who is passionate about dance
and wishes a career as a dancer, choreographer, or teacher.
Students perform regularly in competitions and as members
of Fame Dance Companies (FDC), which comprises several groups:
United Youth Ballet Company: the resident ballet company of
Lloydminster's Vic Juba Theatre,
presenting The Nutcracker at Christmas and two other ballets during the year.
FDC Sport: hip-hop and jazz half-time performances and flash mobs
at sporting events, such as Oil Kings games in Edmonton
Spotlight Broadway Company: jazz, tap, lyrical, and novelty shows
FDC Models: modelling events such as Western Canadian Fashion Week
